Remembering our Veterans

Veterans day is a time for remembrance, and a time to say “Thank you” to the men and women who serve our country.  Spencer Technology Solutions would like to join the rest of the nation in saying a heart felt thank you to all who have served past and present for their sacrifice.

Freedom is so often one of the many things that we take foregranted, and we forget the high price that has been paid for our freedom by those who came before us, and by those who are still serving today, protecting us day and night, while we go on with our daily routines.  As civilians, we will never know the trials they endure, or in many instances understand all that they go through  Our freedom is not free, but has cost the lives of many thousands of Americans. Let us hold them close in our hearts daily, and be thankful for the precious gift of freedom that they have given to us.  Say Thank you to a Veteran and their families today.  God Bless America.

Veterans Day Events !

Spencer Technology Solutions is proud to tell you about the second annual Veterans Day parade this Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 AM in downtown Roanoke VA. This year it will feature military units from across Virginia, military marching units and individual veterans accompanied by military, college and high school bands. This year’s parade is expected to kick-off with a breath-taking flyover by Air Force C-130 Hercules Aircraft.

Also to celebrate Veteran’s Day and honor all of those who served, The Roanoke Valley Veterans Council will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Vinton War Memorial on November 11th, 2011 at 11:00 AM.  The ceremony will feature an address by Major General James Archer, Judith Cline singing the “National Anthem,” a presentation of colors by the William Byrd High School Junior ROTC Honor Guard, and patriotic music by the William Byrd Brass Quartet.

Spencer Technology Solutions extends our thanks to all of our veterans for their service, and hopes that many from our community will be able to attend these events in their honor.
