As many of you know, our very own Matt of Spencer Technology Solutions  is President of the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.  As such, we are pleased to invite all of you to join us for an event hosted by VT Aluni this Thursday, April 19th at the Jefferson Center.
Join us for a memorable evening with James “Bud” Robertson. He is recognized worldwide as one of the foremost experts in American Civil War era history. An accomplished author, his latest book is Soldier of Southwest Virginia: The Civil War Letters of Captain John Preston… Sheffey.
There will be a book signing/social hour before Robertson’s presentation. Proceeds benefit the Roanoke Valley Chapter Scholarship Fund, which is used for local students in the Roanoke Valley.  The Cost: $ 25 – includes program, book signing, and heavy hors d’oeuvres .  The Event begins at 6:30 and is in Fitzpatrick hall at The Jefferson Center.  Please RSVP if you are attending.

VA Tech Hockey in Roanoke

Check out the VT Hokies on ice as the VT Hockey team takes on the Georgetown Hoyas on November 11th at 7:30 PM in the Roanoke Civic Center, which is proud to be the Hokies Home Ice. Tickets are just $5.00! (Kids 12 & Under – FREE!) (VT Students/Faculty – FREE!) If you can’t make that game, check out the Hokie’s Home Schedule for this year, and come out and cheer on the Hokies at another great game.

Are You Ready for some Football ?

Let’s Go… Hokies…  Let’s GO .  It’s that time of year, pretty soon Lane Stadium will be rocking and Virginia Tech Hokie Football will be here.  Are you ready to see all the action packed games of the season? Not a Hokies fan, who is your favorite team?  Everyone loves college football in the fall, the two just seem to go hand in hand like Thanksgiving and turkey.  I know that I am ready for football season, and for a long winter. Matt just installed a great new tv in our bedroom. I love the clean look it has on the wall.  Not to mention the great picture, and sound quality with the surround sound speakers.  Aside from all of that, the best part is knowing, I can snuggle under my covers and watch my little Tyrod throw the winning touch down. Remember that Nebraska game — well get ready it’s coming.
